8 Ways To Get Some Nuts Into Your Life

OK, it’s pretty easy to walk into the Sweet & Nut Shop, buy some nuts and eat them. But let’s be a little bit more creative than that. Here’s a few ideas on how you can incorporate nuts, seeds and dried-fruits into your diet:

  1. Add nuts, seeds and dried-fruit to your custom made morning muesli mix
Speak to Wayne about combining your favourite nuts, seeds and dried-fruits into a muesli mix. We also do an amazing gluten-free muesli!
  2. Keep a plastic or resealable container at your desk filled with portioned servings of nuts
The Wellbeing Mix and Springtime Mix are two office desk favourites. These mixes have been designed especially for those who need something healthy to snack on throughout the day, but don’t let that stop you from designing your own or letting Wayne work his magic!
  3. Lightly toast nuts and seeds in a hot dry pan and add them to your favourite dishes
Toasted flaked almonds, pistachio kernels, pine nuts, cashews...pick your favourite nuts and seeds and go for it. Have a chat with us in-store about which nuts and seeds can best compliment your dishes.
  4. Create a butter or paste from your nuts and spread onto crackers, celery and carrot sticks
The Sweet & Nut Shop can turn your favourite nuts into a butter or paste without any additives or preservatives. Speak to Wayne in-store or contact us here.
  5. Before exercise, consume nuts and seeds for a slow, long lasting release of energy
Natural almonds and walnuts are great before exercise, but speak to Wayne in-store about designing your own custom pre-workout/training/exercise mix.
  6. For a sweet snack, combine natural yoghurt, fresh berries, chopped nuts and seeds
Throw a few raw almonds, organic sultanas and sunflower seeds into your yoghurt for a really delicious snack.
  7. Bake or buy fresh breads with your favourite seed combination
The Sweet & Nut Shop supplies a number of bakeries and baking enthusiasts with a range of nuts and seeds for bread. Speak to Wayne in-store for suggestions on how to spruce up your bread.
  8. Add nuts and seeds to your salads for extra crunch
Walnuts go great in salad, but for something a little different, try our hot & spicy or wasabi nut varieties to really spice up your salads.
